Acting it out

Get your children a nativity that they can freely play with. As I type, my girl is acting the Story of Christmas out.

We got the Veggie Tale one for a song after Christmas one year.

Not getting everything that you see!

Our church is going through a sermon series talking about how we are consumed by stuff. We all need to hear this message, especially our children. You wouldn't believe what I hear from my children after watching Saturday morning cartoons or walking down just one toy aisle! (o.k. you can believe it and can easily fill in the blanks.)
Tonight we talked about how we really don't need everything that we see. God know our needs and supplies them abundantly. Encourage your children often of this valuable lesson.
